Their first date was in the fall of 2008. It went so well – they joke – that Chris and Kimber had a second date... five short years later. That second date was soon followed by a long distance relationship, a surprise proposal, and finally, their July wedding day.
Chris and Kimber were married with a beautiful ceremony at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint (which included a children’s message and the involvement of five different pastors – including both of their fathers), and the party happened at Crossroads Village. Chris designed her ring, he made the bow-ties, and Kimber’s mom made the gorgeous gown, plus the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Chris and Kimber are both exceptionally tall (their wedding hashtag #twotallwalshes pays tribute to that). But on a deeper level, they are both creative, fun-loving, Christ-following individuals, who care deeply about their people, and who make a terrific duo. What a privilege it has been to celebrate these two friends of mine by photographing their wedding day.
Chris and Kimber, I wish you all the best as you continue on in this new adventure!
with love,
Abi S
