Why, hello, 2014.
I’m a dreamer, a goal maker. Like many others, I find myself at the start of something new and decide to make everything new. I just moved into a new home three days ago, so with all this newness, my Resolutions List is a mile long. Move more, eat less. Pray more, worry less. Start my Project Life. Spend less time wandering Facebook and Pinterest. Keep my desk (relatively) clean.
The thing is, I look at this list now and think that it’s totally possible. And it is. But check with me in three months —heck, three week— and see how it’s going. I pray this year will be different, and maybe it will be. 2014 is brand new, and a lot of things can happen in the next 365 days.
I’ve decided, though, that if anything, the goals I set for my photography are to be followed. Which is why I’m sharing this with you. Because maybe if I share it here, it becomes a little more permanent: more than just a good idea that I might possibly do one day. This is what you can look forward to —what you can EXPECT, even— in the year 2014:
1. MORE PHOTOS: I will be making and posting one photograph every. single. day. I’m following the prompts at Capture Your 365. I’ve started projects like this before and admit that I’ve let them go. 2014 is different, though. My photographer friend Abbey from Abbey Grim Photography is joining me, and I’m thrilled to have her as an accountability partner. You can follow my journey on Facebook.
2. MORE BLOG: I am hoping to blog at least once a week in the new year. And starting it off right with this one, hm?
3. MORE CHANGE: My website and blog may be looking a little different this year. I’m still settling into a brand that I feel most comfortable with, and changes are in order. What changes... hmmm... I guess you’ll have to stay tuned!
And there you have it. Three things. Yeah, I think it's going to be a good year.
Happy New Year, friends!
with love, Abi S
