Adam + Claire // engaged

Adam and Claire first met online, so they spoke on the phone before meeting in person. They both remember being smitten with the other’s voice. Their relationship clicked right away and has only gotten better with time. Adam says, “The gut feeling of knowing we're right for each other has only been confirmed with time. Over the years, each new aspect of our relationship has always come so easily and agreeably. Each year we become even closer and I adore her even more. I love the life and family we've built together more and more as time goes on.”

Adam proposed to Claire at the African Elephant Exhibit at the Cleveland Zoo (she really loves elephants). The ring is unique, inspired by The Princess and the Frog (check out the photo below). They’re planning to marry in May 2015 in Alpena, one of their favorite places to spend time together. I’m super excited to be their photographer!

Meeting and working with these two so far has reminded me of how special the “little things” in a relationship are. It’s the little things that attract you to someone, that create memories, that connect you time and time again. It’s those little things that are sustained as the years past and things change a bit. Adam and Claire have the ability to laugh at the little things and bond over the little things. They surely have a bright future together!

“Adam is my best friend, plain and simple. I didn’t know it was possible to spend so much time with one person and still enjoy our time together.”

Leah // senior

It was a day I had greatly anticipated for years: Leah's senior session. Actually, it was a two-day session (one day straight hair, the other day au naturel). Two glorious days of photographing one of my best friends, my sister.

I could go on and on about how wonderful she is. We are really nothing alike, but I'd say we get along rather well. Her outgoing, loving personality is beautiful. She's a softball player and a dancer, and she loves people of all ages, especially kids.

We did this session when she still lived in St. Johns, but with a recent family move, she's finishing up high school in Munising in the Upper Peninsula. Leah plans to go to Concordia University Ann Arbor next fall, to major in Family Life and become a Child Life Specialist. I love you, girl!

Cassie // senior

Cassie is a senior at Rogers City High School. She's the second oldest of six girls, a farm girl, a talented athlete. Her personality is radiant... she truly is beautiful, inside and out. I so enjoyed her senior session and getting to know her a bit more.

God's blessings on the next adventures in your life, Cassie!

but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."
Proverbs 31:30

But, seriously. I'm just so blessed to photograph the most gorgeous people.
